Evan, I think you and Ross Perot are hanging out too much. A little paranoid there. I dont believe that the billing execs got together with the long distance conversion people and decided to trump up a charge to get you to switch back. What happened is that an error was made, and when you called in the person you talked to flushed you to anyone else but them after they realized there was no sale or commish avail by talking to you.
