I ordered one last year and wish I hadn't. I received one for $50 off, except this is only good on the highest rate listed for the car, which most people never pay. For instance, I could have booked with an on-line discount a mid-size car for about $35/day. When I called to use the certificate, I was quoted a rate of about $75/day on which I could deduct the $50 discount making the rental $25. Meanwhile, Budget had a sale on full-size cars for $29/ day. So in my case, it was only worth $10 off the discounted Hertz rate. I went with Budget for the nicer car. It may be good for someone who books close to pick up date when the rates might be high or in a market where the rates are high normally, but I am always able to get deals when I rent, so I never ended up using it.
